Career Opportunity: Rail Readiness Course – Cootamundra

Are you or someone you know based in the Cootamundra region and looking to step into a new career path?

A unique opportunity is coming up as part of the Inland Rail Illabo to Stockinbingal (I2S) project. In partnership with the Inland Rail Skills Academy and Yakka Training, a free three-day Rail Readiness Course will be held from Monday 16th to Wednesday 18th June at The Arts Centre, 18-20 Wallendoon St, Cootamundra.

The course is designed to build entry-level skills for working in the rail and construction industries, covering:

  • Workplace professionalism

  • Mental fitness

  • Safety and leadership

  • Financial literacy

  • Rail access and fitness for duty

  • Understanding psychosocial hazards

Upon completion, a select number of participants will be interviewed for potential roles in Office Administration and WHS Admin with John Holland on the I2S project.

This opportunity is open to all members of the community, with a strong encouragement for:
