The Pro Patria Centre Ltd (PPC) is seeking motivated and dynamic individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a not-for-profit organisation, PPC is dedicated to creating a welcoming, holistic wellbeing sanctuary for veterans, first responders, and their families in the Wagga Wagga and Riverina region. We are firmly committed to restoring, regenerating, and empowering these communities with innovative services, self-agency strategies, and ongoing support for life beyond service.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking individuals with the following experience and attributes:

  • Lived Experience: Veterans, first responders, or family members of the same are strongly encouraged to apply. Your insight and lived experience are invaluable to our mission.

  • Previous or Current NFP Board Experience: Experience in governance, strategic planning, or not-for-profit leadership is desirable.

  • Skills-Based Contribution: Expertise in areas such as governance, clinical services, financial management, legal, fundraising, community engagement, marketing, or IT would be highly valued.

  • Hands-On Approach: As we work towards achieving a sustainable, community-driven model, we need Board members willing to take an active role in shaping the future of PPC.

About Pro Patria Centre:

Since its establishment in January 2021, PPC has made significant strides in becoming a holistic wellbeing hub for veterans and first responders. With a focus on community connection, innovative health services, and sustainable practices, PPC has developed partnerships with local and international organisations, introduced groundbreaking treatments, and provided essential support services for those in need.


Key Expectations for Board Members:

  • Attend and actively participate in Board meetings (held regularly throughout the year).

  • Provide strategic advice and ensure the organisation meets its governance, legal, and ethical obligations.

  • Advocate for PPC’s mission and values in the community.

  • Support fundraising efforts and contribute to securing sustainable funding streams.

  • All of our board directors are volunteers.
